Which Game Releases Are Fans Most Excited About?
We are Level Up, and with that comes exciting news, and 2024 has been a complete rollercoaster ride for gaming fans and it doesn’t stop as we are headed into the last legs of the year. Whether you’re a console crusader or a PC perfectionist, legendary franchises returning or totally new adventures, there is something for everyone.
The Blockbusters We Can’t Ignore
First up is “Marvel Rivals,” which swoops in on Dec. 6 with all the zazz you’d associate with superheroes tossing down. It has the action, the drama, and most likely a few explosions big enough to make Michael Bay green with envy.
Next up, “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” which will be released Dec. 9. Indy is back, and let’s be real, we’re in it for the whip tricks and snarky asides. If you’ve ever wanted to realize your archaeological fantasies — without the dirt, of course — this one’s for you.
And for the nostalgia set, “Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered” arrives on Dec. 10. It’s kind of like the gaming equivalent of catching up with an old friend — if that friend involved vampires and soul-sucking. You know, the usual.
Looking Ahead to 2025
In 2024, and 2025, which is already flexing. Titans such as GTA VI and Monster Hunter Wilds are ready to take over. But hey, let’s not jump ahead — we’ve still got a lot to play this year. (Also, my backlog is judging me worse than my gym membership.)

Why Are These Games a Really Big Deal?

These games are among a huge wave of new expansion into the industry. Market trends in the esports world shape how games like this will be interacted with in those communities. Through collaborations, streaming events and sponsorships, the esports industry is showing it is much more than viewer sports. Esports partnerships are hotter than my GPU after running all night.
Which Game Should You Play?
The answer is yes to all of these — eventually. Whether you’re swinging between skyscrapers in Marvel Rivals or cracking ancient mysteries with Indy, you can’t go wrong here. Just be sure to have a backup controller around for when you inevitably rage-quit halfway through a difficult boss to hit the reset button on your mind.
What’s Got Us Excited?
With so many gaming goodies over the past year, it’s tough to choose a single favorite. Perhaps it’s the way these games expand horizons, or the possibility of fresh narratives and realms to explore. Whatever the cause, the lineup for 2024 is a gamer’s dream. If only there were more than 24 hours in a day to play them all.
So what are you hoping to play? And fret not — we won’t judge you if you’re still playing that one game from 2020. We’ve all been there.
